BARRAS Paul (1755-1829) homme politique, conventionnel (Var), membre du Directoire
L.A.S. "P. Barras", in Les Aigalades near Marseille 24 September 1808, to Victor GRAND; 1 page in-4. He received his letter concerning the sale of his woods: "Mr BERTHIER had wanted to buy them. I had sent a power of attorney to Mr le mal Lefèvre on this subject, it seems that Prince Berthier is busy with other objects. If you found my woods for sale at the price I asked you to pay, you could bind yourselves, even for a small fee. I will approve what you would have done and will send you immediately my power of attorney to that effect"... There are 6 P.S. by soldiers, 1668-1679 (vellum oblong in-8 each), receipts by captains: du Bousquet, Bricel, Brossard "dit la Perle canonnier", du Coudray, Desloges, d'Estignac; most of them come from the collection of Villenav e who annotated them.
