On the evacuation of France by Allied troops. Mandate from the King to put the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, on his acceptance of the act of accession by the Mayor and Senate of the Free City of FRANCFURT, to an agreement concluded in Aachen on 9 October 1818 for the evacuation of French territory by Allied troops; with copy of the acceptance and act of accession by the Mayor George Steitz. Enclosed is the warrant countersigned by the Minister of the Foreign Office, Viscount CASTELREAGH, Carlton Palace 31 December 1820 (the signature of King George IV has been cut out at the top; notebook in-fol. of 7 pages, bound with a blue silk ribbon, seal with arms under paper; in English and French), to put the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, to the acceptance of the Act of Accession by the Reigning Prince of WALDECK and PYRMONT, to the General Treaty signed at Congress of Vienna on 9 June 1815, and to the treaties, conventions, declarations, regulations and other acts cited in the 118th Article (copy of the acceptance and Act of Accession by the S. de Treitlinger annexed). These documents were intended for the Chancellor of Great Britain John Lord ELDON.
