DUKAS Paul (1865 - 1935)
L.A.S., November 25, 1909, [to Vincent d'INDY]; 2 pages in-8. He thanks him for sending the second part of his Cours de composition. He is very touched "by the part you are playing in my Sonata and my Variations in the study of the modern Sonata". He is going to read it, "and to instruct me in a host of things of which I am ignorant and the enumeration of which made me blush with shame while reading your treatise!" He had Durand send him the orchestral score of Ariane et Barbe-Bleue... Attached is a L.A.S., September 19, 1920, [to André DEZARROIS, secretary of the American Foundation for Thought and Art, founded by Florence Blumenthal] (¾ page in-4): "I will propose to my colleagues on the music jury the name of M. Georges MIGOT, composer and great war wounded, as likely to rally their suffrages..."
