WAGNER RICHARD (1813-1883) - Lot 248
WAGNER RICHARD (1813-1883) L.A.S. "Rich. Wagner", Baden, 17 August 1860, in Julius RÜHLEMANN, Dresden; 3 pages in-8 (small creases in the fold), envelope; in German. The error is too easy, and where it is a question of being finished, nothing, except its own meaning, can decide. Accuracy ("Gerechtigkeit") is a hollow term; only empathy can do the trick, and Wagner thinks he will have to do without the empathy of conductor Rietz... Rühlemann must now know the nature of the pardon granted to Wagner: he was not granted an amnesty by the Saxon government at all, b
