NAU JOHN-ANTOINE (1860-1918) Trivial and mystical poems, original edition of the poems enriched with autograph letters signed by the author. Paris, Albert Messein, 1924. In-8, red half-marquin with corners, spine with five nerves titled, gilt head, cover and spine preserved (Canape). Original edition of these poems published posthumously by Jean Royère, executor of Nau's will. 1 of the 25 copies on vergé d'Arches. Beautiful copy enriched with 2 original photographs of Nau's tomb and 11 letters and 4 autograph cards signed from John Antoine Nau to Jean Royère representing 48 pages in all. First winner of the Goncourt prize for Force ennemie in 1903, John Antoine Nau (1860-1918) was, in the words of Huÿsmans, "the best we have crowned".
