PICABIA Francis (1879-1953)
Autograph correspondence signed in Méraud GUEVARA. Circa 1947, three letters in-4 and two autograph cards, one on mourning paper in ink on paper. Warm and friendly correspondence from Francis Picabia to the artist Méraud Guevara. Two of the letters and the two postcards written by Francis Picabia are also signed by his wife Olga: "I'm sorry but it's impossible for me to leave Paris at the moment: exhibitions, questions of money, everything is against my plan to meet you in Aix, which would have made me so happy. Olga regrets it too. Ticket from Olga Picabia to the artist Meraud Guevara in which she thanks her for "her so kind letter". Francis Picabia died a fortnight before. She waits for him in Paris and informs him that she has started working on her book and that "Francis knew I was going to finish it. And that's what I'm doing - without my Francis". She finishes by kissing him.
