L.A.S. "Gregoire Eveq.", Paris 26 January 1825, to Jacques de NORVINS; 1 page in-4, address. On his collaboration in the Biographie nouvelle des contemporains (20 vol., Librairie historique, 1820-1825). "I gave Mr. Plassan (about two months ago) a very detailed biographical note in English concerning Nelson, not the sailor, but one of the most distinguished Irish patriots. He probably communicated it to the editors of the biography of his contemporaries. A respectable old man from Besançon, Mr Grappin, former secretary of the academy of this city, sent me some notices printed on men worthy of finding a place in the biography, I send them to Mr de Norvins"... Foreseeing also a supplement, he will send to Norvins some notes, "if it can be agreeable to him"...
