Édouard NOËL (1850-1926) published in 1899 a Brumaire, Scènes historiques de l'an VIII.
Written in black ink on 20-line Lard-Esnault paper (Ed. Bellamy successor), the manuscript was used for the engraving. It is marked at the top: "Very lively. Violent", and is dated at the end: "Égreville Samedi 2 sept. 99. 6 h. du matin".
There are many scrapings, and a collette of 5 measures on page 27.
Page 13 is numbered 12 bis. The title page bears the dedication "to my friend P.E. Chevalier" (nephew and associate of Henri Heugel).
