RAVEL Maurice (1875-1937)
L.A.S. "Maurice Ravel", Megève 15 January 1919, to Lucien GARBAN; 4 pages in-8. He is feeling down and no longer sleeps. "However, for the past 5 or 6 days, the sun has been shining, as if it were in the middle of summer. I'm getting some exercise. I even do a little sledding. It's true that here, when you want to break a leg, you have to wait until Friday, the day the doctor comes ... He wrote to Jacques Durand to recommend Louis DUREY, "a really gifted musician"... The complete set, n° 1044.
