Between that date and Mozart's death on December 5, the great Viennese publishers Artaria and Kozeluch competed to publish the most popular arias. While Artaria came first, the Kozeluch edition is the most complete, comprising 38 issues compared to Artaria's 34. Of these 38 issues, 26 are first editions, either contemporary to Artaria's editions or missing from the Artaria collection.
