BOURBON Henri de (1899-1960) pretendant naundorffiste au trone de France, descendant de Naundorff, suppose Louis XVII.
96 L.A.S. "Henri" or "Henri de Bourbon" (2 unsigned), 1922-1927, most of them to his cousin Prince Louis de BOURBON, in Sannois; 320 pages in various formats, some headings and envelopes. Correspondence when he joined the Foreign Legion, started in a military convalescent home in Algeria and continued during his years of service in Morocco. The letters, often long, are written from Oran, Bel-Abbès, Meknès, Taka Jehian, Taza, Fez, Récifa, Taounat, Sidi Djellih, Aït Ahmed, Rabat, Tarzout, and Paris. It is mainly about his debts, and the financial aid that his "cousin" gives him (not without reprimands), as well as a theft case, requalified as "concealment of qualified military theft" which must bring him before the War Council, with the risk of revealing his real name, and considerable expenses... He talks about his life in Morocco, the operations in the barracks and the movements of the troops... He also reacts to the articles that Louis de Bourbon publishes in Le Crible. Etc. 5 telegrams are attached; an L.A.S. to Captain Horry, substitute to the 2nd War Council of the occupation troops of Morocco (Meknes, August 2, 1924); 7 carbon copies of letters; and a letter from two merchants in Taza, creditors of Henri de Bourbon (1925).
