The Grand Master showed him what the captain and his brothers had written to him, and he is grateful to them for the good office and the trouble they took to warn him of things and to assure him of the good will and affection of the persons named in their letter. He writes to Count MAXIMILIAN, and instructs the captain to thank him on his behalf... The Grand Master will leave in a few days for Provence in order to prepare everything... He adds in a post-word, "... The Grand Master will leave in a few days for Provence in order to prepare everything....scriptum that because of the "extreme heaters", and in order to avoid the Holy Father taking it badly on his journey, he postponed the interview until August 15. In the meantime, he will stay "around Lyon and its surroundings", and will approach Nice when it is time.
