LES MESSAGERS BRARE ET GÊME Envelope (torn) with Lm dated 28 September 1870 returned to Paris by the postmen BRARE et GÊME, part of Triel on 28 September 1870 with 853 letters, passed through Saint-Germain-en-Laye and arrived in Paris on 29 September. Letter mailed to the central post office of PARIS (60) 29 SEPT.70, tax with double line stamp 15. The only known document to date, the only ''incoming'' letter from smugglers taken in hand by the Paris post office. Great rarity. B/TB. Joint, set of seven letters, some of them by mounted balloons of the same correspondence, showing mailings by smugglers. Exceptional set. B/TB.
