Telegram to Marcel Bouilloux-Lafont. [Rio de Janeiro, May 1930]. 8 p. in-8 (19 x 21, 7 cm) and in-4 (27.9 x 21.6 cm) of grey paper with letterhead of the "Cia. Auxiliar Radio-Emissora do Brasil" and of peel paper, black ink and black pencil. Precious set including the manuscript and the coding draft of a telegram signed by Jean Mermoz to the President of Aéropostale, in Buenos Aires, concerning his return after his first crossing of the South Atlantic, from 12 to 13 May 1930, from Saint-Louisdu-Senegal to Natal: "Wait for instructions Mr. Daurat. Intends to return as soon as possible. Engine overhaul necessary although working well. Oil leak on arrival. Hispano mechanic arrives aviso Peronne. Crossing without favourable wind. 500 kilometers bad weather. Torrential rain. Ceiling fifty meters with some clearings. Device behaves brilliantly. Decreased speed in heavy squalls. Perfect radio link except with Noronha and Praïa. Will send detailed report. Follow your entire disposition ready to do what you wish. [...]». The text of the coding draft is slightly different.
