GUIOT HECTOR (1825-1903) PEINTRE MANUSCRIT autograph with 16 DRAWINGS, Two album pages. One night at Campo Dulcino, 1876; in-4 of 7 leaves on bristol board, bound in contemporary aubergine percaline, framed with fillets on the boards, with this inscription in gilt letters on the first Italia 1876, smooth spine (binding very slightly faded, 2 ff. detached). Amusing illustrated trip to Italy. Autograph manuscript calligraphed in brown ink, with the title and subtitle in brick gouache, bordered by a red fillet on all pages. It is dedicated to Madame QUILLIARD as the "homage of a beautiful dream... realized". The manuscript is adorned with a title with a large pen-and-ink composition showing a church steeple in the mountains among the rocks, and 15 spiritually executed drawings in the text. It contains the account of a fantastic dream of the author as a flying man, which began in Campo Dulcino, near the Splugen mountains, and continued in Venice, with a visit to San Marco and the Lido. The drawings that accompany this text show landscapes, the author during his flight, magic clogs, Canova's Psyche, a star, polichinella, Venice, the campanile, San Marco, a gondola...
