LECOCQ CHARLES (1832-1918) COMPOSITEUR MUSICAL MANUSCRIT autograph, Les deux Canards, [17 July 1915]; 1 page large in-8 (pasted by Lecocq). Amusing song of 44 bars in 2/4 in G, lyrics by Ch. Garnier (the architect Charles GARNIER?): "Un canard au bas d'une échelle"... The chorus ends: "The low duck had the advantage that the high duck had, corner, corner, corner", etc. these cries in a "Mephistophelic laugh". L.A.S., 15 November 1900, to M. Lacan, secretary general of the Compagnie du Nord, requesting a train permit for Brussels (oblong card in-12, envelope). A s.s. card from Robert PLANQUETTE, Villa des Cloches in Merville is attached.
