About forty letters or pieces concern Edmond MASSENET (1837-1929, brother of the composer and future general), from 1859 to 1873, most of them from 1871-1872 at the time of the siege of Paris and the Commune [Léon Massenet had to flee with the help of his brother Edmond to escape condemnation for his role under the Commune]. - Alexis Massenet (father of the composer): 1 to his son Edmond. - Adélaïde Massenet (mother of the composer): 15 (plus a fragment) to her son Edmond, including one "par ballon" and one "Par Ballon non monté", and 3 to her daughter-in-law Clotilde, Mme Edmond Massenet; 3 to her daughter Julie, Mme Paul Cavaillé, 1857-1871.
