JACOB Max (1876-1944) - Lot 407
JACOB Max (1876-1944) Autograph letter signed Saint Benoit sur Loire, October 14, 1942. 1 page in-4 in ink, folds and tears. The letter would have been addressed to Boris Vian's father with whom he was exchanging. "I confided with a smart market gardener about your letter... Despite all the diplomacy, I only get meat in droves... I'd rather have rabbits and chickens if I can find someone to kill them... I look forward to the first tobacco. I prefer the grey cube of French tobacco to the blue Gauloises".
