LAFORGUE JULES (1860-1887) Lohengrin son of Parsifal, autograph manuscript signed [1880]. 17 leaves in-4 autographed in red ink. Red morocco, long spine with gilt title, decorated on the boards with stars and ears of corn in mosaic white morocco and gilt fillets. Head gilt. Folder, case. (Paul Bonet 1944). Rare complete manuscript in red ink in prose by Jules Laforgue and signed with numerous autograph corrections. Olé! how poignant are the evenings of great sacrifices, even in imagination! Naturally, we chose this first full moon for the degradation of the vestal Elsa, on the square in front of Notre-Dame, in view of the Black Sea, with all the bells ringing" ... ... "And behold, the pillow changing into swans spread its lower wings and took its Lohengrin-ridden flight, in noble spirals, over the enchanted lagoons of the sea, across the moon to the altitudes of selfishness, the eternal altitudes" ... Extremely rare manuscript among the oldest by Jules Laforgue.
