[LABOUREUR Jean-Émile (1877-1943)]. Small & large glasses. Selection of the best cocktails collected by Nina Toye & A. H. Adair and put into French by Ph. Le Huby (Paris, Au Sans Pareil, [1927]); in-4, paperback, illustrated front cover. Original French edition of this collection composed by Nina Toye and A. H. Adair and presented as translated by Philibert Le Huby (pseudonym of Jean-Émile Laboureur). It is one of the first books to divulge real cocktail recipes to the general public. The American edition was published in 1925. Superbly illustrated by Laboureur, this edition includes 10 beautiful etched and engraved hors texte compositions as well as a colour composition on the cover and 14 black ornaments representing bottles, glasses, a shaker, a lemon, etc. One of the deluxe copies in-4 (the only ones to include the hors-texts), one of the first 20 on Arches laid paper, with a suite on japon, reserved for the "Amis du Sans Pareil" and signed by the publisher René Hilsum.
