TOULOUSE-LAUTREC HENRI DE (1864-1901). L.A.S. "Harry," [Paris] July 15 [1892], to HER MOTHER, Countess Adèle de TOULOUSE-LAUTREC; 2 1/2 pages in-8. "My dear Mother, Your rather ungainly letter arrived this morning. It appears from it that the impending poof [ruin of her aunt Cecile Pascal] will spoil our season. (Sad!) I saw Louis who doesn't seem too down. [...] Papa groans, not finding where to put his little things........ As for my plans, they are absolutely vague, amounting to going to breathe the sea air anywhere! As for my trip to the Tarn, it's still on, around the 10th of August, more or less. Couldn't you keep the new sheets and send me some old ones (right away). Thank you for the wine. [...] All in all, the result of these rains is a great deal of irritation, which I am trying to overcome as best I can but with difficulty. I kiss you"... Correspondence (ed. Herbert Schimmel, 1992), no 234, p. 197.
