First edition, illustrated by Marie LAURENCIN with 8 color etchings in the text, woodcut lettering and ornaments. Limited edition of 358 copies on Arches vellum paper pur fil (n° 297), dispatch a.s. from Marie LAURENCIN "to my friend Richard Anacréon", under the receipt. Rustic tales. Original engravings by D. GALANIS (L. & J.-M. Carteret, 1951); large in-8, orange morocco, the upper board decorated with a gilt and cold radiant sun, int. frame of gilt fillet and green scroll, black moire lining, folder and slipcase (Françoise Lévy-Bauer) First edition printed at 216 copies, one of the 170 on pur fil Johannot (n° 163).
