Curmer, 1838 (1 piece) Large in-8 red morocco, very large gilt lace in frame, double gilt fillet on the edges, large gilt lace inside, spine ribbed richly decorated with small irons, gilt edges (Petit binding). First edition, with 29 woodcut plates by Meissonier, Tony Johannot, Marville, Steinheil, and 7 steel-engraved portraits drawn on Chine before the letter. Rubbing to the spine and spine ends, corners dulled, missing the colored map.
